The Women’s Suffrage Movement
For this assignment, you will be examining the fight of American women for political equality and the vote, a movement closely associated with the Progressive Era. To accomplish this, you will first read the two sources below (one linked and one attached), which present the case put forth by American suffragettes for full political inclusion. After reading these sources, you will address the following questions.
1. Identify two arguments put forth by these activists in favor of equality.
2. How did they frame these argument in relation to America’s historical political principles?
3. Based on the points they put forth, what arguments from the opposition did they anticipate?
You will respond to this in a short (1-2 page) double-spaced written response.
