Using the Yale Film Analysis Guide’s Chapter 6 – Analysis (http://filmanalysis.yctl.org) as your format, analyze the first 5 shots (about 45 seconds) of this clip from Bicycle Thieves
For purposes of this exercise, we’ll use the Yale Film Analysis Guide definition of a shot: “A single stream of images, uninterrupted by editing.” In other words, once there is a cut, the shot ends. Your analysis should focus on the whole length of the shot.
