For this Discussion, review the media titled “Multicultural Intake Interview” and “Mental Status Exam” provided in this week’s Learning Resources. Analyze how the counselor performs both the multicultural intake interview and the mental status exam.

Post by Day 4 an explanation of ways the clients may have been demonstrating depression or suicidal ideation during the intake interview. Then, explain whether the counselor should have conducted a suicide risk assessment. Finally, explain how counselors should be proactive in conducting initial assessment meetings.
