Sustainability
We have spent the past 10 weeks discussing and examining best practices as they apply to the Campbell family, interventions, insights, strength building, and skills to address the multi-system issues. As advanced generalist social workers, our work does not end with therapeutic interventions—rather, we create systemic change on micro, mezzo, and macro levels.
For this discussion question, focus on one of the family members (Karen, Joe, Kali, or Jacob) and one of the systems in which they were involved, or identify a hypothetical system for that chosen individual:
- Apply social work best practices using leadership skills and emerging technologies to promote systemic change towards client sustainability by identifying a research-based, community-based intervention that would provide for sustainable and systemic change to address one of the challenges this family faced.
- Provide at least once reference that demonstrates evidence-based best practices to substantiate your intervention.
