You must read the editorial “Give the Ref a Gavel” by Eldon Ham and analyze the appeals of ethos, logos, and pathos

Analyze the appeals of ethos, logos, and pathos in an editorial, or an opinion piece published in a newspaper or magazine, either in print or online. You should choose from the list of editorials linked below, which have brief summaries of the content. As in essay #1, your job is to isolate appeals, but this time, you are identifying how the writer uses emotion, shared values/credibility, and reason so that you can assess whether or not the argument is persuasive for the intended audience. For instance, you might say that the appeals to reader emotion and the credibility of the writer do help readers agree but that the logical flaws undermine this appeal, ultimately causing an intended reader to disagree with the overall argument.
