Why basically skills need to be taught in schools at all levels

 School should not be about just critical analysis of a famous literary work or author or the study of historical figures and times. School should teach students life skills and skills that will impact their every day lives. Skills such as: taxes, sex Ed, personal finance, basic automotive maintenance, resume writing, applying for jobs, nutrition, how to swim, etc… These skill shouldn’t be developed in just college but in high school and possibly middle school. These skills should be standard in the American educational system to create a competitive and educated populace.
