As you work in the human service profession, you will inevitably come across clients in public settings. Family members or friends may be with you when a client greets you. They may be inclined to ask, “Who is that?”
Knowing that you must always protect your client’s confidentiality, discuss how will respond to situations where a client may engage you in a public place. What are your options? Can you think of any other scenarios where you might feel uncomfortable seeing a client? Be specific. Give examples.
