Adler and Van Doren (from How to Read a Book: The Classic Guide to Intelligent Reading 1940/1972) posit that in order to grow as readers, we must read works that challenge us.
1) Do you agree with this assertion, especially since you have read a challenging Great Book for the Research Paper (yours being War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy)?
