User-interfaces reflection

User-interfaces reflection

In a short writing of roughly 500 words, please respond to the following questions:

  1. User-interfaces include a wide range of features: from on/off switches on our devices, to drop-down menus, hyperlinks, and tabs on web browsers, to the alpha-numeric panels on microwave ovens. Moreover, whenever we use a piece of software we often do so via user-interfaces. Consider the insights of Gibson, Norman, Winograd, and Garrett and what each has to say about affordances, design, interfaces, and human experiences. Then, give your own example of a software’s user-interface that has caused you some difficulty in the last month. What about the interface caused the difficulty? Can you offer solutions that would reduce or remove the difficulty? Please be sure to define your terms and make use of the readings in your response.
