You are the Safety Manager of a large vertically integrated furniture manufatyrer and retailer. You work directly for the Vice-President of Operations with a dotted-line relationship to the CEO.  The latest recession has badly hurt the corporation, and all staff offices, including Safety, must take a 50% personnel cut.  The CEO is willing to listen to reasonable organization changes to accommodate these personnel cuts.  What can you suggest that will allow the cut and keep an effective safety program.  Be specific, and explain your rationale.
