1) Which civil liberty(ies) in your view is the most important and why? Do you feel any civil liberties are under attack/threat today and if so which ones and how? Feel free to bring in outside sources and examples to illustrate your points.
Chapter 5: Civil Rights
2) How would you differentiate civil liberties vs. civil rights? Does the role of government change for one compared to the other e.g. does one require government intervention and the other for government to not involve itself?
3) Do you think civil rights is more important in this country or civil liberties? Or are both equally important? Why? Are civil rights currently under threat in this country? How so? Again, feel free to bring in outside sources of information.
