The purpose of this paper is for you to develop a case conceptualization using two different theories of personality. You will be provided a case study early in the course, which will be posted on Blackboard. Choose two general theories (i.e., psychodynamic, phenomenological, trait, behavioral, biological/evolutionary, or social cognitive) of personality from which to approach the same case.
Your paper must include the following sections for each theoretical approach: 1) Describe and analyze how the person’s problem(s) may have developed according to each theory. 2) Discuss how you would assess (e.g., using objective or projective test(s), single case design, etc.) and how you would use your assessment to inform your case conceptualization. Your tests must match the corresponding theory you are using.
Paper Guidelines
1) Your paper must be typed, double-spaced, and in essay form. Grammar, punctuation, clarity, and spelling will be considered in assigning grades. Typeset must be 12pt Times New Roman and paper margins should be set at 1 inch. 2) You are to follow APA style in formatting your paper. Consult your APA manual! 3) Cite appropriately and be sure to include your book in your references. You are also free to use other resources. 4) Your completed paper should be 8-10 pages in length (does not include title or references pages; you do not need to include an abstract). You will lose points for papers that are below or above the required number of pages. 5) Your paper should be divided into two major sections. One section for each theory. Under each theory you should then have two subsections: (a) theoretical conceptualization, and (b) assessment
