Report 1500-word report on placement
I have done a placement at a place which provides services for disabled people, elderly people and special needs people.And they even look after disabled people too. Anyway they recently started to promote their services by putting stalls inside busiest shopping malls around sydney (That was called office launches). So my job role was to be there and talk with elderly people that who needs special needs and if they need them what I do is either giving our contact details or making a note of their contact details so we can contact them later. Moreover I used to get in touch with people, who are having elderly people at their homes too, so i gave our details and explained the services too.
So during these days I met different people with different cultures, some people just ignored me and went away thinking that we were going to collect money. Actually we are a australian government funded organization.
Anyway what i want to do is , using these experiences make a reflection report including and addressing the following, Name of the place I have worked ( Your Side Australia https://yourside.org.au/ ). The purpose: the kinds of disadvantage observed, and/or the client needs addressed during the placement
The alignment of practice with theory- consider the community engagement theory, is this what you saw in practice?
Recommendations for improving community engagement in the Placement Organization
Reflection on your own values, assumptions and attitudes and the skills developed through the placement
