PSY4560 Columbia Southern Beck Depression Inventory Psychological Test PPT

Instructions

Choose one psychological test from the following:

  • Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-II (MMPI-II),
  • Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), or
  • Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-IV (WAIS-IV).

Using the topic you chose from above, complete a PowerPoint Presentation discussing the following points:

  • Define frequency distributions, measures of central tendency (mean, median, and mode), and measures of variability (standard deviation, the normal distribution, percentile ranks, and standardized scores), and identify these for the test you chose.
  • Discuss the test’s norms.
  • Identify reliability and validity for the test you chose. Make sure to explore several types of reliability and validity for your test, such as criterion validity and reliability alpha coefficient.

Your presentation should be 10-15 slides in length (not including the title and reference slides). You must use a minimum of three outside sources. At least one must be from the CSU Online Library. Other sources could include Googlescholar.com and the Internet. All sources used must be cited and referenced according to APA style.

Special Instructions for Unit II PowerPoint Presentation

There needs to be enough material on the slides to cover all the main topics. This can be done using bullets or sentences in very small paragraphs. It is important that all the main topics are covered, while keeping the slides appealing and not too crowded. Since there is no full audience to read the notes, the main material and citations should not be in the notes. That needs to be on the slides.

It is also important to cover the main ideas in the article and relate them to information from the textbook. This means there will be citations on the slides and a reference list on the last slide. If you use bullets, every bullet may need a full citation. If you use a direct quote, it must have a full citation immediately following the quote. If all the information on one slide is from the same source and page number, then only one citation is needed. That single citation should be put at the bottom of the slide. Otherwise, if the bullets paraphrase material learned from different sources or pages, then a new citation will be needed for each paraphrased or directly quoted bullet.
