Techniques to Enhance Learning and Memory

Memory failure is normal, and we all forget things. Memory is composed in 3 stages incoding, consolidation, retrieval. Incoding is where most memory failure occur. When using incoding it refers to learning new information. We constantly rely on our learning and memory system. I also learn 2 techniques that help when aiding learning new information and imagery is the first one which is the process by which we attached a mental picture to a verbal idea. You can use imagery everywhere you go because it allows you to see all the things you need to remember in one picture. The second one is context refers to what comes before or follows a word. These techniques help for everyone.

Daniel Goleman Introduces Emotional Intelligence

Daniel Goleman belief that the section of the brain that is responsible for emotional Intelligence is one of the last parts to develop in our life time supports the belief that we are creatures of habit. We are products of our environments and our past experiences help shape and hold the person we become years down the line. Goleman goes on to speak on the four domains of handling our emotions in our relationships specifically the four domains. Self awareness and your moral compass second is how we handle our emotions in our relationships the decisions we make and our ability to not allow them to cripple you, the third is empathy being adherent to others emotions and lastly your ability to put it all together.

Emotional intelligence

The video that i found most interesting was the video about emotional intelligence. What i learned from the video is how important self management and self awareness is. Self management is important because it effects your daily life. Espically when you attentd college. In college self management is important because your an adult and you have to manage your own life because your parents arent going to take care of you anymore. So self management is important along with self awareness controlling your emotions and knowing when to use the right emotions.
