For this assignment you are to do the following:

1. Compose an original poem in free verse or form (minimum 8 lines) that is inspired by one of our readings from the semester.
2. Write an analysis of the poem, exploring the choices you have made in your composition and utilizing the critical terms of poetry that we reviewed in thePower Point presented in class on 10/24.
3. Be sure to title your essay and use MLA format on the title page.
4. Include a Work Cited page that indicates the story/source you used for your original poem.
5. Poem will appear on a single, separate page.
6. Analysis will be 1.5-2 pages in length.
