Informative Speech on Photography

For the purpose of the informative speech you will explore an “issue” that you find important, or select a topic related to your major or intended career. The goal of this speech is to educate and enlighten the audience rather than persuade. You may be presenting information that is completely new to the audience, or getting them to consider something they already know in a different way. Your topic should be thoughtful and relevant – part of your grade will depend upon this. Start by thinking about what is important – to you, to your audience, to society in general, etc. Find something that interests you, and do some research on the subject. It is vitally important that you are able to demonstrate the importance and relevance of whatever topic you choose. An effective, complete introduction. All elements of the introduction should be present. 3. An organized and appropriately supported/researched speech body. 4. An effective, complete conclusion. All elements of the conclusion should be present. 5. A minimum of (3) oral citations. Citations should include all pertinent information that helps identify your source. This is vital to your speech, and the failure to include oral citations may result in a failing grade. 6. Effectively use a presentation aid. This might be a series of pictures or other elements displayed through effective use of presentational software (PowerPoint, Prezi, etc.). No videos longer than twenty seconds are to be used!
