information processing

Information Processing Theory suggests that standardized testing of young children may not accurately reflect their knowledge or proficiency because they have not fully developed the cognitive skills necessary for taking a standardized test. List and describe two aspects of information processing (e.g. selective attention, automatization, knowledge base, processing speed, short term memory capacity). For each concept you chose, give a concrete example illustrating its relevance to testing. Based on what you have learned, at what age do you think children should start taking standardized tests?
