Information Processing Theory suggests that standardized testing of young children may not accurately reflect their knowledge or proficiency because they have not fully developed the cognitive skills necessary for taking a standardized test. List and describe two aspects of information processing (e.g. selective attention, automatization, knowledge base, processing speed, short term memory capacity).
