The missing book if it helps: Krasna, H. (2015). Jobs that matter: Find a stable, fulfilling career in public service. (If your confident that you can pull an 80 go for it)

• For this final paper, you will complete the seven career exercises in Chapter 1 of Krasna (2010): 1) Dreams and Fantasies; 2) Missions; 3) Job Functions/Interests; 4) Work Values; 5) Skills; 6) Specific Organizations; and 7) The Total Picture. You may need to conduct additional research and review the previously assigned chapters from this book as you work on these exercises. You will need to review Chapter 11 about identifying available opportunities in the public sector. Then, write an essay that addresses the following.1) What type of career currently interests you in public service? How do you want to contribute to the public good? What types of jobs best suit you? Make sure to discuss specific examples based on what you learned from completing the career exercises.2) Is there someone you have learned about in this course whose career follows a similar path to what you want to take? Is there someone who inspires you? You can reference any of the assigned materials for this course. There are a number of profiles in the Krasna (2010) and there were several assigned videos with interviews of people working in public service. You may also discuss someone that you have learned about outside of the course, just make sure that you cite sources and include them in your reference list.
  3) What do you need to do next to advance your career in public service? Be specific and think about the issues that Krasna discusses in both Chapter 1 and Chapter 11. You may want to look at what jobs are currently available in a field or organizations that interests you. However, you may discuss the ideas or what you learned.
