History of Illustrated text
It is a research paper based on the use of elephants in medieval bestiaries. More specifically, elephants used to represent Adam & Eva. Answering questions as: Why they used them? How they were used? What they represented? Why choose elephants to represent religious themes? Does Boehrer’s piece on “the animal renaissance” connect with medieval depictions of elephants in a more meaningful way – do you see continuity from the medieval to the renaissance in how animals are depicted?
It requires to use a minimum of 3 JSTOR or similar reviewed articles, also Hassing Medieval bestiaries and Marsh & White Taxonomy (find in uploads with rest of texts). This paper must be 2000 words (minimum) and written in MLA style with its citations in alphabetical order.
