Criteria for Research Paper Formatting Requirements: All research papers will be typed using the Modern Language Association (MLA) format. The research papers will be double-spaced and the margins will be set to 1 inch on all sides. Students will use 12-point font. The research paper assignment should be submitted as a Word document or Rich Text file to the Assignments area on the course site. Make sure that you write this paper in your own words! If you must quote the author to make a point, then use quotation marks to indicate any words that are not your own. Each research paper is required to be a minimum length of four complete pages, typed, double-spaced, using 12 point font, using MLA format. You will need to include a minimum of 3 sources, each of which must have an author and a publication date. Encyclopedias do not count as sources. Wikipedia does not count as a source!
