For this assignment, you will develop an activity or plan that engages the student and parent, and bridges the home school communities based on Joyce Epstein’s, Framework for Six Types of Involvement. Select one of the following activities.
1. Develop a plan to foster a relationship between the student and parents/ caretaker and the community during the first week of school.
2. Develop a take home assignment your students can work on and share with their parents/ caretakers.
3. Develop an afterschool activity designed for students and their parents to part take in onsite.
- The activity must be in your content area (ELA) and for grades 7-12.
- Your paper need only be 2-3 pages in length to describe it in detail.
- Your paper must include your rationale for this activity and your goal(s) and objectives.
- Your paper must use the APA 6th edition formatting and title page.
